يشترط للقبول في البرنامج أن يكون الطالب حاصلا على درجة البكالوريوس من جامعة معترف بها من قبل وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي وبتقدير جيد فما فوق في إحدى البرامج التالية:

- تكنولوجيا المعلومات
- هندسة الحاسوب
- هندسة أنظمة الحاسوب
- نظم معلومات إدارية
- هندسة اتصالات وإلكترونيات
أو أي شهادة معادلة لذلك، وسوف يتم تحديد المساقات الاستدراكية لكل طالب حسب تخصصه في البكالوريوس إذا دعت الحاجة لذلك.
